Turkey and United States have a long history of military partnership in NATO, starting with the Korean war in 1950 , the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 1963, the first Gulf War in 1980ies and the war in Afghanistan today. We salute all soldiers who have contributed to this partnership while serving in Turkey and remember the ones who are no longer with us.

A SALUTE TO AMERICAN VETERANS

ATATÜRK'S 72. IMMORTALITY ANNIVERSARY, NOVEMBER 10, 1938-2010
On November 10, 2010 it will be seventy two years since Turkey's First President and Founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk became immortal. Every passing year since 1938 we missed him more than a year before.
On the seventy second year anniversary of his immortality , I like to bring your attention to his universal love and compassion for all of the soldiers of the world. You will witness this on his message to ANZAC soldiers' mothers, engraved on memorials in Canakkale(Dardanelles), Turkey.
No wonder than, the sons of other nations who served in Turkey have a great admiration and respect for him, like the American soldiers who have served in the Homeland of ours. Click on Ataturk's picture to see how American soldiers who served in Turkey salute this great Soldier and Statesman.
