It was a Sunday evening in May around 7 PM when the telephone rang. Dede, Anneneane and Big Uncle Cengiz had just finished eating dinner. Dede had cooked dinner that night, and now Anneanne was doing the dishes, Cengiz was listening to his radio upstairs and Dede was on the computer. It was Asli on the phone calling from Chicago: "the baby is coming " she said with excitement , I am in the car waiting for Matt to pick up things and to take me to the hospital. A few minutes ago they were all celebrating Dad's birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Weils, Aunt Stefanie and Heidi uncle Jason and cousins Grace and Gene and of course sister Taylor Duru. They had just eaten a big birthday cake and when they finished Madison decided it was time to come to the world and see her family.
"Come on Jeeem ", shouted Anneanne "Let's pack real fast and drive to Chicago. "Big Uncle Cengiz's luggage was already packed a day ago. He took his radio, Dede and Anneanne packed their luggage real fast and they were ready to go. Dede made sure that their cat Kiya had enough food to eat and enough water in the bath tub to drink while they were gone. They rushed to Dede's white car and Anneanne was the first one to drive. Soon after they left, Dede realized that he forgot to take his nice shoes. He had only tennis shoes to wear. It was getting dark now and it started raining real hard. Once it got real dark Dede started driving. Anneanne called Gigianne and Gigidede and aunt Esra and told them they were going to Chicago. Madison Seleen baby was coming soon!
Dede was getting tired driving in the rain when suddenly the cell phone rang. It was Matt and he said " The baby was on the way!" and he would call Anneanne as soon as she came. Anneanne and Dede were waiting and waiting. Long time had passed but Matt was not calling. It was almost midnight when they were passing through a place called Lafayette, when all of a sudden Anneanne heard the cell phone ring....Somebody had just sent a picture.... Anneanne clicked on the picture on the cell phone and could not believe her eyes! It was baby Madison Seleen's picture! Anneanne started yelling and screaming with joy: "She is a beautiful baby!, she is a beautiful baby!Look how beautiful she is! She was trying to show the baby's picture to Dede, but Dede could not see the picture clear, he did not have his glasses on and he was trying to drive in the dark and in the rain. Anneanne immediately called Gigianne and Gigidede and their friend Oya and told them about the beautiful new baby.
Soon aunt Esra called. She heard the news about the baby. Matt had sent her the picture too. Aunt Esra was so excited but she was also sorry because she could not come with Anneanne and Dede to see the baby. She had to go to work next morning.
The rain had stopped when Anneanne and Dede's car arrived at the Delnor Hospital in Geneva.llinois. Dad met them at the door and took them to Madison's room. All three entered the room number 129 and saw this most beautiful baby in the glass crib. She had a beautiful face. Her eyes were closed and she was sleeping .She had cutest little nose and beautiful pink little lips. She was tucked in a "binty" and had little purple hat on. Her, Mom was resting next to her in the bed. Both Asli and Matt were so happy. Big sister Taylor Duru had had to stay at home that night with Grandma.
Anneanne and Dede opened the baby's blanket and took her hat off. She had beautiful long legs and fingers. Her hair was dark and almost black in color and she had a beautiful pink skin. Big Uncle Cengiz, Anneanne and Dede were so happy to see Madison!
Next morning Dede went to Lighthouse Academy Daycare Center to pickup big sister Taylor to bring her to the hospital. When Dede picked up Taylor and put her into the car seat he had difficult time to buckle her in. Taylor helped Dede and showed him how the buckles worked. On the way to the hospital , Dede told Taylor that her sister Madison had come last night and Taylor was going to see her and her mom very soon. Then Dede showed Taylor , Madison's picture on the cell phone. Two year old Big sister had a big smile on her face, she loved her sister's picture.
When Taylor came to the Hospital, dad had gone to work and Madison was in the nursery, only mom was in the room. Taylor jumped on mom's bed and gave her a big kiss and asked her about her sister " Maddy".
"I wanna see Maddy. I wanna see my sister.!" she said. "Let's go and see her." said Anneanne. Dede, took Taylor to the nursery where Maddy was sleeping. The nurse opened the curtains, and there she was behind the glass window sleeping in the bassinet. Taylor was on Dede's lap and watching her sister with a big smile. She turned to Anneanne and said : " Mady is funny, I want to touch her." But , she could not touch her behind the glass windows. Big sister Taylor was disappointed.
But soon the nurse allowed Madison to come back to mom's room. Taylor pushed the baby's bassinnet on the wheels in to mom's room without seeing her face. Int the room the nurse gave Taylor a stepping stool. Taylor climbed on the stool and looked at her sister's face so close for the first time. The big sister reached and touched her little sister's feet, "Mady is sleeping, she is funny " she said. Taylor loved her little sister .She leaned to her feet and said "poff kokuyor"*Mom and Dad were so happy to have two beautiful daughters.
The same day Madison had a lot of visitors, all of her family had come to see her. Uncle Josh was the first one to come. Then came Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Stefanie, Aunt Heide , Uncle Jason, and her two cousins. Everybody held Madison in their arms . Madison's cousins Gene and Grace were so happy to hold her in their arms. Big Uncle Cengiz had loved her too but now he was busy eating a big hamburger.
The next day Dede stayed home with uncle Cengiz. Anneanne and Dad went back to the Hospital to pick up Mom and Madison . When they came home with all the flowers and balloons, Dede went to pick up Taylor Daycare. Now everybody was at home!. Duke and Lacey were also excited to see the new baby in their house. They were circling around her and not barking at all. Aunt Esra called and said she was coming next weekend to see Madison.
Everybody in the Weil House were happy that night. When they all sat down to eat dinner , they thanked God for having the two most beautiful girls; the sisters Taylor Duru and Madison Seleen.

There are so many similarities between Baby Taylor Duru Fable and Baby Madison Seleen Fable. Both were written four days after they were born. Both days when they were written are Holiday's in Turkey. Instead of rewriting all the explanations about the Grandparents ethnic names and explaining Madison's middle name without her sisters, I am copy and pasting these explanations from Taylor's fable and making necessary additions for Madison.
*Baby Taylor Duru Weil. Her middle name is derived from Durupinar which is her Anneanne’s maiden name. (Sitare Durupınar Özmeral ).Duru means “pure “ in Turkish. Meaning pure water or clear spring . *Baby Madison Seleen Weil. Her middle name serves dual purpose: In Turkish the name "Selin" means flowing water and/ or a ever green plant. The name is spelled as "Seleen" in English not only for the right pronunciation but it also includes the name "Lee", which is Madison's Grandmothers middle name (Cheryl Lee Weil) ** Her maternal grandfather (Dede in Turkish). His name is Cem, pronounced as Gem and often pronounced as "Geem" by her maternal grandmother (Anneanne in Turkish); Sitare. In Turkish one can distinguish between maternal grandmother and paternal grandmother; Anneanne or Babaanne. (Anne is Mother and Baba is Father). Also Dede for Maternal Grandfather and Büyükbaba for Paternal Grandfather. *** Gigianne her maternal Great- grandmother: Ülker Durupinar, Gigidede; Tayfur Durupinar, her maternal Great Grand-father. Grandmother Cheryl Weil, Granfather Steve Weil. ****Haminne, her Maternal Great-Grandmother; Lamia Özmeral (She is no longer with us but I am sure she is a watching angel for the two sisters) *****23rd day of April is the “Children’s Day”, an official Holiday in Turkey, which is celebrated by all parents with their children since 1923. The story was written on that day, four days after Taylor D. Weil was born.
19 of May , "The Youth and Sports Fest", an official Holiday in Turkey is celebrated since 1919 not only as the beginning of Turkish Independence War but also considered as the Birthday of the First President and founder of modern Turkey, Kemal Ataturk. The story was written on that day, four days after Madison S. Weil was born.
"Poff Kokuyor "meaning "pee-yuu stinky feet".

Keşke yarın yanında olabilseydim ve Istanbulda denizi seyrettiğin tepede sana bir kırmızi gül verebilseydim,
Keşke, Gölcükte elinden tutup gelincik tarlalarında seninle beraber tekrar yürüyebilseydim,
Neden seni daha fazla kucaklamadım,
Seni nasil özlüyorum bir bilebilseydin.

Atike Ana ,
