The other day I received an e-mail with a slide show attachment. "Again, one of those messages which is forwarded from one end of the globe to the other end to endless people ..." were my first thoughts.
When, I opened the attachment I realized that this one was different. Listening to Cliff Richard's "The Young Ones" , I felt goose bumps all over my arms. It was not only Shadows music and the sound of their electronic guitars, nor was it the soft voice of Cliff Richard which had affected me so much, but more than anything it was ; the memories of my high school years, friends and the thought and sorrow of remembering the lost youth.
Then , I realized the missing ingredient of Gazoz Kapagi: Nostalgic Music of my times. I am not a person who has any musical talent . I do not even sing in the shower and can not play any instrument. I do not have a good ear for music and never had the talent of memorizing lyrics. But when I hear a music I like , I start feeling : I realize that I am alive and I always start remembering.
In this Juke Box Nostalgia section , we will start with few music videos from 1957 and slowly progress to 1970ies. It will not be a complete selection of the popular artists of the time but rather few selections of music who had inspired my soul. This will be a journey with no pre-planning or any set destination. Only time and comrades input will shape it's entity.
